Fake North Face — From the Summit to the Street

The North Face was founded in 1966 in San Francisco, two blocks from the base of its namesake. The mission was straightforward: build the best equipment for the people going to the hardest places. The Nuptse jacket came from that mission — a 700-fill down puffer built for high-altitude conditions that became, five decades later, one of the most universally worn pieces in streetwear. The Denali fleece, the McMurdo parka, and the GORE-TEX Summit Series pieces followed the same arc from function to icon.
