RICHARD MILLE launches Richard Miller RM 65-01 RM3 McLaren W1 automatic winding chronograph: McLaren W1 supercar inspiration
RICHARD MILLE launches its fourth collaboration with British supercar manufacturer McLaren – the ‘RM 65-01 McLaren W1’, inspired by McLaren’s latest generation W1 supercar and featuring a carbon TPT bezel for the first time ® Two materials, carbon fiber and grade 5 titanium alloy, are cleverly integrated with racing colors such as orange, yellow, and blue, creating a striking and fast-paced style.
The design inspiration for the barrel shaped case comes from the elegant lines of the McLaren W1 sports car, with a “convex inside and concave outside” contour design, reflected on the watch as a concave “double layered” bezel. The upper layer of the double-layer structure bezel is Carbon TPT ® Carbon fiber, each case has a unique texture, and the lower layer is made of polished Grade 5 titanium material, with the thinnest part only 0.5mm. The timing function button is made of Carbon TPT carbon fiber, and the titanium crown is wrapped in orange rubber to enhance the operating feel.
The hollowed out titanium dial is inspired by the wheel pattern of the W1 supercar, with color accents reminiscent of the dashboard of a supercar – the hour hand, minute hand, and small second hand at 6 o’clock are decorated in yellow, the 30 minute and 12 hour chronograph dials are decorated in orange, and the chronograph seconds dial is decorated in blue. The vertical digital date window is located on the dial at 11 o’clock.
Equipped with RMAC4 automatic winding movement, with a power reserve of 60 hours. The base plate and bridge plate of this movement are both made of grade 5 titanium alloy material, with a timing accuracy of 1/10 second.
